Only Pentium class processors and above are listed here. Legacy processors which AMD produced under a Second Source License from Intel, namely: 80286, 80386, 80486, 80486DX-2 and 80486DX-4, are omitted here. Mobile versions of CPUs are omitted.

K5 series (1995~1997)

Between 1993 and 1999, we  standardized on AMD processors. The rest of the time, we only use AMD when specified by clients' special projects.

FUTURE

  • AMD apparently no longer whole-heartedly follows the "K" series naming convention.
  • current emphasis is on "portfolio of products catered to different market segments"
  • K8L appeared briefly
  • K9 is apparently skipped over
  • K10 is used inconsistently
