Streaming Costs & Capacity Planning November 7, 2006 This is a quick reference for those of you considering hosting of streaming media. The first table shows the storage requirements for various encoding standards and quality levels, clip duration. The remaining 4 tables show how many times can those clips be viewed/downloaded with each hosting plan. This document deals with on-demand listening/viewing/downloading using traditional hosting plans, not live webcast with multiple simultaneous listeners/viewers.
