(still active to this date)
2010  SoftBlade II:
PMS 7.0 based on VirtualPC on Windows 7 x64 Professional x64
(updated to Windows 7 SP1 as of 2011)
 2012  SoftBlade III:
PMS 8.0 based on Hyper-V Server on Windows Server 2012 Essentials
(later updated to use Server 2012 R2 Essentials)
 2014  SoftBlade IV:
PMS 9.0 based on Oracle VirtualBox on Linux server
(Ubuntu 12.0.04 LTS ->14.04.3 LTS)
(Debian 7.0 -> 8.2.0)

These are distinct platforms with their own lifecycles, and
subsequence lines do not superceed previous lines.

14 years & 650+ R & D hours later, PMS has out-grown its original goals & image. Once merely "Poor Man's Server," PMS-powered boxes now serve in special  demanding mission-critical situations, where it excels over traditional servers.
